Punk band, No Trigger, is releasing their album, Dr. Album, this Friday via Red Scare Industries! In this Q&A, guitarist, Jon Strader answered questions about the new album, what he would change about the music industry if he could, how he keeps it posi, and more! You can pre-order Dr. Album HERE.

Congratulations on the upcoming release of Dr. Album! What does the album mean to you, especially since it’s been 10 years since the last full length?
The Dr. has been just about 2 years in the making now.. We took our time with this one. Literally. It encompasses a lot of creativity from every member of the band which makes it uber special. It's very diverse and has great and more personal lyrical content that Teach really knocked it out of the park with.

What’s your favorite song off Dr. Album?
Take Your Time” is a personal fave of mine. A start to finish idea I had put together while envisioning mowing the lawn. Steady Truckin' was the made up rough idea name before any lyrics took place. Little nugget for ya. But honestly, they are all so unique and are all extremely favorite-worthy.

No Trigger is scheduled to play Riot Fest in Chicago and FEST in Gainesville. Who are you looking forward to seeing at the festivals?
Yeah we are! Super stoked to be on the Riot Fest lineup this year. We've shared the stage with Bad Religion before so doing that again is a special treat. We also have been heading down to Fest in Gainesville for about as long as we've been a band. That's about 20 years. Always excited to be back for Summer in October. Paint It Black is performing again and that makes us extremely excited.

If you could change one thing about the music industry, what would it be?
Up the Punx!!! Punk music is recently seeming to make its way back in, so I think the change is currently happening. A plus!!

We all have our days where it may not be going as well as we’d like. People deal with their worst days in different ways. What helps you get through the bad days? How do you stay positive?
Struggles are real. Staying positive is definitely the key to keep moving onward. Pop a weed gummy and go kayaking.

Thank you for taking the time for this Q&A. Any last words or final message for the readers?
